Better and cheaper than a bugout
Oh my goodness, what a wonderful knife! A magnacut EDC knife with aluminum scales for $ 140— that’s absolutely amazing. The fit and finish on this knife are very good. Everything seems to be machined. The ergonomics of the handle are wonderful. I don’t have a lot of aluminum-handle knives, but this one is very comfortable. It is slim, but it still feels good in the hand. The pocket clip is awesome. This is definitely a true deep-pocket clip. The action on this is fantastic with their version of the crossbar lock. It opens and closes so smoothly and so effortlessly. You can deploy it with the thumb studs, which I prefer, or the crossbar lock, but the thumb studs are very well done. The blade itself came very, very sharp from Kershaw, which isn’t always a guarantee with their knives. I like the size of this. This is a small, discreet EDC knife. It cuts very well as it is a thin, full-flat ground blade. Honestly, compared to some other companies that are also American-made, this one beats out those other manufacturers. I get that their warranty isn’t as nice as some other companies, but when you can purchase a Magna-Cut and aluminum knife for $ 150 and a competitor charges now over $ 400 with their latest version of a similar knife, that’s a no-brainer. I would buy this all the time and I’ve recommended it to several people to go out and purchase this knife. This is not a hard, abusive knife, but it’s a good, lightweight everyday carry knife that can handle pretty much anything that normal people are going to use this for now. I bought the beige version because at the time that’s all that was available, but I do intend to purchase the new carbon fiber version to check that out as well. This is an outstanding knife from Kershaw. If you’re on the fence between this and, let’s say, a Benchmade Bug Out, I would honestly go with this. The weight difference is minimal, and you’re getting a better blade and materials. Now, with it being aluminum, it will probably end up showing scratches on the handle, but this isn’t a knife that I would, baby, I’m not going to abuse it, but I’m not going to be too upset if it gets a few scratches here or there. Other than that, no complaints.

Very nice American made knife.
Had the knife for about two months almost, and I can say for certain this is a very well built knife with superb materials. I'm a blue collar guy and use it often. It retains its edge well and isn't a problem to sharpen, though it takes a bit longer than cheaper blades to change the angle. I think it came with a 18° and I prefer a 20°. Knife has been phenomenal. I have the blacked out version and kinda wish I would have parted with the extra money for the carbon fiber version. Looks sick!

American made by a company that knows Heat Treatment
Made in the USA by a company known for its solid quality and skilled in Heat Treating. Have a few Kershaws they are quality but in S30V (micro chips) , 20CV (hard to get a good edge on) Love S35VN but once trying Magnacut on a Bark River found my favorite steel. I didn't want to spend $300 on a folder in Magnacut. Well here is the answer. It came hair popping sharp but once spending 5 minutes stopping with BR White it is insanely sharp now. This will be the last folder I buy! EDC for me.

Great knife.
This is my first time spending this much on a knife, and I've only had it one day so far, so you should take this with a grain of salt. But I am already in love with this knife. It's lightweight, low-profile, understated, easy to open and close, and it fits my (large but not massive) hands very nicely. Everything about it just feels right to me, and that's not even mentioning the magnacut blade, which I assume based on extensive youtube-watching will hold an edge beautifully. I can't stop fidgeting with it, which honestly might be a downside since the more I fidget with it the more I'm worried I might cut myself. So far so safe, though, even though I'm new to this kind of mechanism; it's intuitive, and as long as you're paying attention it's hard to screw it up.Edit: It's now been a bit longer, and I still really like this knife. The only downside I've noticed is that the pocket clip sits in my palm when I disengage the lock, which can get annoying eventually if I'm indulging in a ton of fidgeting, but for actually *using* the knife it's no issue at all.

Looks good, cuts great, awesome every day carry knife.
I bought this knife as an EDC item that was "less expensive" than a benchmade knife in case it was ever lost. I would definitely buy another one if the price was right. Very surprised, American made, and very "slicey" blade.

Best EDC?
The absolutely best knife I have ever owned.I've never spent this much on a knife but now I can understand why one would if not more. The Bel Air has been up to any task I've needed it for and more. It's always sharper than I'm expecting & lighter weight too.The flippy-ness of it is easy & fun but can encourage you to do dumb things that will end up cutting yourself. It's just long enough that it's useful for pretty much any & all day to day task yet it's short enough to easily carry in your pocket. Can't speak to it's edge retention just yet but so far it's still cutting paper like it's not even there.

This is a great work/farm knife
Only had this knife for about a month, but it is well worth the money. Blade is super sharp out of the box, and the handle is high quality. Opens like a spring assist without the spring assist. Doesn't feel bulky in your pocket. The only thing I had to get used to is the clip is on the opposite side that I am used to
