Nice and cheap, you get a lot of paint for your money and all the included colors work well. When mixed with a lot of water, the paints are fairly transparent and can be used to add a 'sparkle' layered over your painting, and when applied thickly enough, they are super opaque to the point it looks an awful lot like gold leaf. I like to use these for little accents on my paintings and can not recommend these highly enough

Great pigment - doesn't need a lot of water

I'm really glad I bought this set. I needed it for a painting but have used it on loads of others. Really subtle shimmers.

Lovely shiny pearlescent paint . As good if not better than some more expensive paints .

I was looking for a creamy smooth gold watercolour that goes down on the paper like gold leaf. This watercolour set is almost to that level, and is better than winsor & newton gold ink for watercolour applications. The lighter colours would do better on a dark paper, but the darker golds look amazing on white paper. Used correctly (activate with water, mix with brush to distribute the pigment), these won't disappoint. For really large projects, these would probably not be suitable. Very happy!

In addition to the Starry set I also have the Pearl colours - both are absolutely stunning. I mix them with water and use them as ink for dip pen calligraphy. The colours are really well pigmented and the finished result looks and feels like really good quality metallic embossing. They are definitely worth the price.

I am not usually a fan of gold but this paint is beautiful. I can tell the difference between the different shades of gold and I used the white pearl color over some teal and it added a beautiful shimmer.

Ich habe das Kuretakeset bestellt, weil es nicht einmal die Hälfte von dem kostet, was vergleichbare Produkte in der Regel kosten. Die Farben nutze ich hauptsächlich zum Setzen von Akzenten oder zum Erzeugen von speziellen Effekten. Ich war wirklich überrascht wie gut die Farben nach dem Auftrag aussehen.Auf dem Papier aufgetragen machen die Farben im Vergleich zur höherpreisen Perlglanzfarben kaum einen Unterschied. Dies kann man bspw. auf dem Bild mit dem Pokal sehen. Die Goldfarbe ist aus dem Kuretakeset und die Broncefarbe ist aus einem teureren Set einer anderen Marke. Ich kann beim direkten Vergleich auf einem Bild auch keinen optischen Unterschied feststellen. Man könnte davon ausgehen, dass die Farben auch aus einem Set stammen könnten.Einzig im Farbauftrag habe ich einen kleinen Unterschied feststellen können. Die Kuretakefarbe lässt sich ein bisschen schwerfälliger verteilen und man muss öfter neue Farbe mit dem Pinsel auftragen, damit keine weißen Lücken entstehen. Dies ist mir bei größeren Flächen aufgefallen. Dadurch, dass die Näpfe der Farben sehr groß sind, macht das nicht viel aus.Ich habe die Erfahrung gemacht, dass man ein bisschen länger die Farbe mit ein wenig Wasserzugabe verrühren muss, da die Angabe "länger" und "ein wenig* eher ungenau sind, empfehle ich auf einem Schmierblatt zu testen ob die Farbe sich deckend auftragen lässt, tut sie das noch nicht, muss die Farbe noch ein bisschen verrührt werden. Zu viel Flüssigkeit sollte abr auch nicht hinzugegeben werden, da die Farbe sonst zu sehr verdünnt wird und ebenfalls nicht mehr deckt. Beim Malen sollte der Pinsel auch nicht zu nass gemacht werden. Überschüssiges Wasser sollte am Becherrand abgestriffen werden, um eine weitere Verflüssigung der Farbe zu verhindern.Ich finde die Farben wirklich großartig. Ich würde sie auf jeden Fall wieder kaufen, sollten die Farben irgendwann einmal leer gehen.

This is the best 'shimmer' paint you can buy! I spritz the pallet with water, let it sit for a few seconds then they are ready to paint with! They work beautifully on white watercolor color paper but they look AMAZING on black cardstock! I have never seen a watercolor look opaque on black paper until I used these paints! The paint disc is really large so you will have lots of paint use. Here's a tip...if you rinse your brush into a plastic water cup, set aside to dry completely, there will be lots of shimmers​ still left in the cup, you can pick it up with a wet paint brush and paint over anything you want to add shimmer & shine to!

I love these paints. They are very well pigmented and beautiful shades of metallic. I highly recommend - after trying numerous gold watercolours, these are my favourite.
