Why did you pick this product vs others?:Good clarity. Easy setup. Only complaint is the auto focus. No software included to turn it off, so had to install 3rd party software to manage it. Any on camera movement triggered the autofocus and was distracting.

I was quite happy with the camera when I first purchased it. Easy installation, easy to use and good camera and microphone quality. After using it for a couple weeks started encountering problems with the mic, my students would say the couldn’t hear me. After a month of teaching online classes, the camera started going out of focus during class. The problems persisted, now the camera won’t stay on. It shuts off after about 10 minutes. Good thing my computers built in webcam kicks in when this one shuts off. I’ve had to quit using this webcam.Maybe I received a bad one, but if you use a webcam extensively for online classes and such. I recommend finding a better quality webcam.Update 10/26/2003: After posting my review above, the DEPSTECH sales department reached out to me. They quickly replaced the webcam, and the new webcam works perfectly. I haven’t had any issues with it, good microphone and great picture quality. I can safely say this is a quality company that stands behind their products, so don’t worry about your purchase. They will definitely take care of you if you encounter a problem with their webcams. I have since updated my review from one star to five stars.

This is a good quality webcam. This is a good value for the price. I bought it to twitch stream and the quality was surprisingly good, I wouldn’t say 4k quality good but still very clearly visible. The only complaint I guess I could say is it’s pretty dark, so I just bought a light to fix that issue.

using it over a year now and works great. Nice and clear, picks up audio nicely. more flexible than the fixed unit on the PC.

I wasted money buying entry level webcams, lots of them, that I was seriously buying professional cam for my video recordings. I just can't get the quality video, focus and color gamut on these cheap and not so cheap ones. I have a 4K action camera which I use for video recording but it was not really designed for my purpose.I don't trust all reviews and many are bad simply because they did not check their gadgets or configured they equipment properly. Worse, they didn't make some tiny research of what they are exactly buying. I forgive them. So with all these in my mind before buying the Depstech 4K webcam, I have doubts in my mind and ready to lose the money in case, you know.This Depstech 4K webcam is a deal, finally, with very reasonable price for its capability. Autofocus just works fine and fast, the 4K resolution works well especially for OBS which detects several image resolutions and adjustments and even just for Windows webcam (the 4K option will display after reboot). The only criticism I have, if you call it that, is that it has no power led indicator when plugged into USB and forget about the lens cover, you might just end up scratching the front panel.

Quality doesn't look 4k. Have been using for about a month. Always blurry and trying to focus during zooms or live calls. Low lighting looks worse, only slight improvements with a ring light. Was hoping it would be a good purchase for the price but ill be looking at alternatives.

I've had this 3 years - just writing a review now because New out of the Box reviews are USELESS!!This webcam is all you could ever need. Great video and mic quality!!!

I bought two of these cameras back in March for my golf simulator. Four months later one of them isn’t working. These are not very reliable. I can’t return because out of return period. A waste of money for me. I wouldn’t recommend that brand.
