Pepcid is my go-to when my heartburn is really bad. If I know that I need something a little stronger, or my stomach is having real trouble, these always help to relieve some discomfort.These tablets are chewable and taste pretty decent so I never have any issues. The bottle has 50 tablets so it should last you a long time.

During the last decade I had a lot of issues with acid reflux. Here are some of the products that I tried to deal with it:• Tums: These work fast, but they only last for about an hour. That's definitely not long enough.• Prilosec: This works well, but you have to take it for a few days before it begins to work. Also, the instructions indicate that you should only take it for 15 days at a time. There are also some possible long-term side effects if you take Prilosec for a long period of time: Bone fractures, gut infections, and a vitamin B12 deficiency.• Regular Pepic AC: This drug is great! It works in about 30 minutes, and keeps away acid reflux for about half a day. There are no significant side effects. This is my new favorite!• Pepcid Complete: This drug is like a combination of Pepcid AC and Tums. It has the regular Pepcid ingredient that keeps acid under control for hours, but it also has ingredients like those in Tums that immediately suppress acid. This way you knock out the acid right away, but it also doesn't come back for several hours. There are no significant side effects.In summary, take regular Pepcid AC if you can plan ahead by 30 minutes, and take it before you eat. However, if you need some relief right away, get Pepcid Complete.
