This pendant switch was exactly what I needed to restore operation of my Harbor Freight 440 lb. hoist. It performs properly and I would like to pass along a few tips.1. The switch comes with a built-in 30 ufd, 450 V capacitor. My hoist came with a 60 ufd 250V capacitor. I had saved it and used it to replace the capacitor that came with the switch. The diameters were identical and it was a drop-in fit. For proper operation you must use the specified capacitor.2. As others have commented, the XYQ switch comes with no documentation or instructions. However, it is a simple and flexible device with two DPST switches (up and down). I have attached a schematic of the arrangement that I used successfully.3. I found it convenient to make the connections with two Wago lever-nuts. Of course ordinary wire nuts would work too.4. This circuit interrupts only the up-winding when the up-limit is reached. The down winding remains energized as long as the up button is pressed. The motor stops turning, but it continues to vibrate. Simply release the up-button and the vibration will stop. The down-button is available to move the hoist down. I don't consider the vibration to be a bug, but a feature. The up limit switch is there for safety, not regular use.
