For Dirac Live, do not hesitate
If you're remotely considering this for dirac live and on the fence like I was just order it. I have a pair of a marantz m1, qacoustic 5050s, and Martin Logan abyss 10 in a wildy challenging room with a lot of acoustic treatment. This absolutely transformed our setup with dirac live room correction. A wider, cleaner, more accurate soundstage.

Improves my live mix.
Construction is good. This mic works well. I use this to calibrate the room for use of my behringer xr-18 using x-r ieq app.

Had second thoughts
I feel guilty admitting it but I planned on returning this mic after using it to set up Dirac on my ARCAM AVR. The microphone feel solid and well built with its metal housing, the stand it comes with also feels like its meant to last and not cheap plastic. I originally tried to use an Anthem MRX ARC mic to use with Dirac but that failed horribly. After using this I had no issues and the setup was smooth and easy. After using it to calibrate my AVR I decided to keep it! Awesome calibration microphone. I used it with a pair of SVS Ultra Evolution Bookshelf speakers and SVS 17 Ultra Evolution sub. Results make everything more harmonious. One of the best upgrades for calibrating your new AVR.

Opens up a whole new world of sound processing
I am using this mic with Room Eq Wizard (REW) and miniDSP. REW allows me to test my loudspeakers and also correct for room effects. This calibrated mic is plug n play and integral to the whole process.

Customer service apparently non existent
The mic itself works great. No complaints there. But I discovered quickly the supplied cable did not work. I called the seller and advised a staff person of as much. I was told to send an email with my address, as they could not access it through Amazon sales, and a replacement would be sent.I did so a few minutes after getting off the phone.I did again a few weeks later, and requested a response to my email, as a courtesy.Crickets.Seems to be the norm these days.

Exactly what I wanted, and yes it has a USBC port on the back of it
No where could I find the USB specs for this. The unit does have a USBC port and plugs right into any iPhone 15 or 16 with a simple USBC cable. Using HouseCurve, it had more lower and upper bandwidth than the mic on my iPhone 16 Pro. I did notice that Airplay starts rolling off hard at 16khz.Something else I noticed was that the response seemed to have less compression that the built in mic. iPhone mic had dips in the same places as the UMIK, but the amplitude was much higher on the iphone.Overall the perfect product for my needs.

This mic is awesome for audio tuning.
I wanted an audio control mic but they’re hard to get rn and kind of expensive, so I bought this one. I was a bit nervous purchasing this as I’ve never heard of this brand and it’s quite a bit cheaper than its audio control counterpart. But my worry was very quickly wiped away. It’s super easy to set up, as you literally just plug the microphone into whatever recording device you’re using (in my case it was a dell laptop) and go, no apps needed. I bought a downloadable spectrum analyzer from True RTA and I had no issues with compatibility. I used the included tripod to station the mic right in the most center listening point for my gf and I. After a couple hours of listening and tuning in my living room, my surround sound has absolutely come to life (and it already sounded good before)! My girlfriend said she feels like she’s at a concert or at the movies and she never notices the changes I make to any of my systems. Idk how much better the Audio Control one would’ve faired compared to this one, but I definitely got my moneys worth just using it in my living room.
