More powerful than A4988 but noisy and erratic
No doubt this driver is a lot more powerful than A4988- remember that it goes into the socket the other way; so take a closer look at the pin labels on the underside.I had put it for the pair of Z-axis motors as the old driver was getting too hot. The number of micro steps is also double as compared to A4988. However, the motors become quite noisy with this driver and strangely, it often delays the commend too much. At times it didn’t execute the movement at all, resulting in the print head hitting the part and removing it off the build plate. So I removed this driver within four hours of its installation and replaced it with another newly purchased A4988.
