Does the job and rinses clean with soap and water. Instructions says to use oil but once you use oil on a sharpening stone you can't use anything else so I just used soap and water both to sharpen and then clean it and it worked fine.

I’m actually a little annoyed by this stone. My dad had one that was silky smooth, and that’s what I hoped this would be. I used the one I got from him for finishing my blades after sharpening them, and that’s what I was actually looking for. This one is more for the sharpening process that’s finishing. Eh.

Well it's a hard Arkansas stone with a notch for sharpening hooks. and a little belt pouch. The edges of the stone are NOT clean by any means. In fact they are so badly chipped that I considered returning the item. But for the price it's too much trouble. I'll just re-dress the edges with a harder stone.

Great grade stone for putting keen edge on. Perfect for gluing to a Glock knife sheath.

Attach it to the sheath of my Becker 2. Puts the edge back on if the knife dulls in the field. It's a hard stone so it doesn't take long to do that.

lost my first one, can sharpen my fish hooks on lures and such again now.

Good in a pinch, to bring and edge back. Not the best edge but will get you through if needed.

It's ok.do you really need honing oil some say to use a little water?
