Proper gaming mousemat, little to no friction & very accurate!
A proper decent quality gaming mat that I’m very impressed with. I’ve been a PC gamer for decades now and I’ve been through my fair share of mouse mats. This one from HP is up there with some of the best I’ve used, and I really mean that!It has a very thin profile to it but not thin enough that you can bend or roll it and the underside has a very grippy rubber base that sticks very well to my desk, it literally wont move, even when I purposely try to slide it. The top of the pad has a very slick surface to it and gives little to no friction when moving your mouse across it, its so good that sometimes it feels like the mouse is hovering above the surface. Its one of my favourite things about the mat, it really is super slick! The quality of the materials used is great and the finishing is excellent with no bits sticking out or any lumps anywhere. It has a logo in the bottom corner which if I’m honest I have no idea what it’s meant to be, but it does add to the “gaming” aspect of it else it would probably just look like a sheet of plastic. To get the best out of it I recalibrated my mouse to the surface, after this the mouse tracked perfectly and I had no issues of any kind. I’ve given it several hours of playing the new Call of Duty game and I really couldn’t fault it one bit. I’ll mention it again, but this mat has some seriously low resistance and I really love how the mouse glides across it, it hasn’t improved my game, but it definitely helps with consistency. I even love the little details like cutting the corners, so your wired mouse doesn’t get caught, an often-overlooked feature when designing gaming mats and one which I have experienced multiple times.Overall, I can’t recommend this mat highly enough, it does everything you expect it to and more. The current price of £16.99 is about right for something like this and HP claim it should cope with more than 250km of mouse travel so that makes it good value for money. Its definitely going to keep its place on my desk for the foreseeable future and I hope it stands the test of time well. I have no issue recommending this item and I look forward to their next version of it with RGB lighting built in!

Fast Surface for Gaming - Good All Round Gaming Mousepad
HP Omen is a gaming brand I’ve always heard of but never had experience with. This is a fast and smooth gaming surface that has a nice feel when gaming. The surface is high quality and the underside is a rubber grip surface for holding it in place during intense gaming sessions. Overall I’m very impressed with this mousepad. I’ve never used a hard gaming mousepad and I’ll be using this as my main going forward.

Easy to keep clean and very stable
I've always used fabric-topped mouse pads until this one and I actually really like it. I couldn't get on with the slippery material to get on with first so turned the speed down on my mouse to compensate for this, but there are a number of reasons why this beats a soft mouse pad.Pros:- Ease to clean! The soft mouse pads I own are a nightmare for dust and dirt and they look really grubby. You can polish the top of this mouse pad easily and it doesn't get dirty- You can place it on soft surfaces like a sofa whilst working on your laptop and it stays stable, flat base for the mouse- It's a good size for the amount of movement you'll need with your wrist- Comfortable to rest arm on (I use a vertical mouse)Cons:- It is quite slippery and thus hard to get used to if you're used to moving your mouse slower. Like I mentioned it's worth turning down the mouse pointer speed if this bothers youI'd highly recommend this pad for the performance, durability and the fact it looks professional and also techy at the same time. I'm a web developer so need good tools for the job and this is now.certainly one of them.
