This razor is shockingly good! In some ways
This razor is shockingly good! In some ways, possibly superior to the Merkur (I own both). The weight is lighter than the Merkur Futur (I prefer the Futur) so that's a point against it and the only real negative. As for everything else, it seems to be equal or better that the "real deal". Blade gap is more consistent from side to side, and the adjustment range is better. The stand is functional and a huge bargain (if you've ever tried to find an affordable stand for a Futur style razor...good luck!). The cap fits tightly, but still comes off easily for blade replacement. The finish has held up well so far. Lastly, the price is great!

Affordable, clean, close shave...
I recently switched to a double edge safety razor form a Gillette proglide. Those cartridge blades were just too costly. $2.40 per blade to be exact. I can get DE blades for about .05¢ each. So the Qshave is a copy of the Merkur Future adjustable razor. But again, the Merkur is $75. The Qshave was $25. Having never used the Merkur, I have no real basis for comparison. I can, however, say that I've enjoyed using the Qshave. I've achieved a close clean shave and have gotten to the point where I can use it comfortably. Make sure you know which setting you're on though. Using it at 6, when you think it's at 3 makes for an uncomfortable face after the shave. When you get it be sure to order a pack of quality blades. Toss the Qshave blades in the trash. So far, I really like Wilkinson Sword blades. Everything on the razor seems well made and durable. Mine came with a stand that's a little wobbly. A nice travel head cover and a brush. The adjustment of the blade is smooth and easy. The one thing I noticed about mine is, the blade edge reveal seems uneven if you don't snap the cover on the same way every time. The cover is asymmetrical, so it's easy to get it on the same way every time if you're paying attention. If you're looking to try out an adjustable safety razor, you can't go wrong with this one. Then, if you think it's right for you, you can pop for the premium Merkur. Or, stick with the Qshave. As it does a fine job too.

Dump your disposables and get this razor!
I am a lifelong user of disposables. Briefly tried a cheap safety razor that shredded me. Went back to disposables. The Youtube AI suggested a video to me recently which led to this razor. The price for entry was reasonable and I pulled the trigger. After about 2 weeks of use, I have to say I am glad I tried it.Pros:Adjustable - this is hugeSoft texture promotes glidingCons:Soft texture promotes gliding - I suggest they add a texture to the handle so that adjustments when wet are saferI do not have smooth skin on my neck. The adjustability makes it a snap to dial in the razor to get a close shave without losing a pint of blood.I also shave my head. Tried the razor for the first time on this task a few days ago and it exceeded my expectation.

Not your standard safety razor
This was a gift. The blade doesn’t attach like a typical safety razor. It’s top clips off. The blade then pops in (do this carefully). Then you push the top back on until it clips back on both sides. It shaved ok. You could adjust it out so it’s closeness can be slightly altered. But honestly, if you shave with a safety razor you do so for a meticulous close shave. Otherwise there’s a flurry of disposable variants out there for you.

Looks great but performs poorly
I wanted to like this product but ultimately it just doesn't work.Good things:1. Nice design and quality construction2. Good priceBad things:1. The one blade design really pulls the hairs on your face and is actually painful if you have even average to thick/full facial hair2. There is no grip whatsoever, so it is very easy to slip when shaving3. Razor is technically adjustable but in reality it only cuts hair on the most aggressive setting. The other settings are uselessAgain, i wanted to like this beautifully designed product but ultimately it just doesn't work. There is a reason 95% of men who shave with a blade use a modern 2-5 blade razor. They look and feel cheap, but they just work better.

I’m amazed with the quality. Like seriously. Buy it.
I’m still relatively new to de razors, I’ve kinda been tinkering with different razors, brushes, and soaps. But when I got this I knew it was a game changer. The presentation alone in box demonstrated such attention to detail and devotion to quality at first glance. It honestly felt like Christmas morning with every item I opened. Then it came time to use it, and again, it absolutely took the show. The adjustable feature made calculating the aggressiveness of the blade such a valuable resource, I haven’t been nicked or cut since. The accessories are also excellent. From the stand to the blade cover. Simple and elegant.I have never been so eager to give someone five stars.

Good deal
Read a lot of reviews before buying this and I am happy and basically agree with all that was written. Essentially a cheaper merkur adjustable razor. If you like or want to try an adjustable double edge razor this is a good one. One thing though, the stand, case, and brush are a bit of a waste.

The pop open top is not exactly ideal and does make cleaning slightly a pain but the cut is what counts and this one feels great. Let the weight guide itself
Heavy, solid and a definite feel when you adjust the dials. Does NOT include the stand unfortunatly. The pop open top is not exactly ideal and does make cleaning slightly a pain but the cut is what counts and this one feels great. Let the weight guide itself. I would start at a 3 and move up. The blades they supply are not that great for my thick beard but free is free. I paired this with the 100 pack of Personna Double Edge Razor Blades which were top knotch, very sharp and top value along with the green sensitive skin prorasso. You want to buy something great as a man when something comes to daily useage. You won't be upset.

Deceptive ad?
Ordered twice now and each time product arrives with no base and no leather sheath. Hopefully third times the charm.

Passable, needs work
This arrived without some of the promised accessories, when I complained to Amazon they refunded the purchase and told me not to return it (as it's a personal hygiene product). The build quality seems alright but the blade isn't evenly centered, meaning the two sides give a different shave. I tired a different blade with the same result.

This Merkur Futur knock off is really not that bad
From what I've read, Merkur let go of their pattern for the Futur razor. The Chinese seized the opportunity and copied pasted it. This razor is the result and it's pretty decent for $25. You won't get Merkur craftsmanship but the shave is very close to the original. From what I can tell, included blades are Personna brand (Made in USA) which are better than Merkur blades in my opinion. Overall a good buy.

Nice set
I purchased the black deluxe kit from Qshave. It came direct from China and took just over 2 weeks to get to me. Thats reasonable. This is also known as the "Murkur Futur clone". It is not exact however, the handle is slightly thinner. The numbers on the handle are only painted/decals, they may rub off in time.Works just like the Futur. Nice adjustability. Anything over 3 is too aggressive for me.It comes with 5 titanium blades which say "made in usa" on the box. I highly suspect China would import usa blades only to ship them back to north america. This set only cost me $30 and is well worth a try, if you dont want to spend the big money on the Merkur at first.

Excellent Decision
As a lady looking to switch to a DE safety razor, I did a lot of research. I was a bit nervous to make the switch from cartridge razors but I am very happy I did. I didn't want to invest a lot of money, just in case, so I figured this QShave DE razor was the way to go.It came very nicely packaged in an attractive black gift-type box. It included the razor, leather sheath that goes over the razor head, 5 blades and a nice heavy stand. I found the stand sturdy. I also purchased some Derby blades and prefer them to the ones that came with the razor. It was easy to load the blades, the adjustment is easy to make and the shave was closer, gentler and easier than any cartridge razor I've used on my legs. It also left less irritation and red marks (cartridge razors seem to tear at the hairs).I'm very happy with the purchase so far. It costs about 10 cents a blade and over time will be a lot cheaper than the cartridge razors.
