Silver Spring 1-1/4" High Aluminum Mobility Threshold Ramp for Wheelchairs, Scooters, and Power Chairs

This fits a 36 inch threshold fine for us. I just slid it all the way down toward the side the door opens and the 2 inch gap is on the hinge side of the door and not really needed there anyway. Easy to install.screw it to the door jam on the outside and did not interfere with my door closing. Good quality aluminum with the little under support bar makes it very sturdy and works well to push a wheelchair or use a mobility scooter over.

I purchased this ramp to provide handicap access from a porch to an exterior door. This ramp fit together well and was easy to install.

Seemed okay but did not work in our house

I required this ramp and another larger one to enable my wheelchair to negotiate over the sliding glass door that leads out to my deck. But It would not have worked as designed. It's beyond me to understand why there is a hinge in this ramp! I required a 1" rise ramp and a 1.5" inch rise ramp, both had "hinges" that I had to stabilize by drilling 4 pilot holes through the hinges, then inserting sheet metal screws. Why wasn't this 1" ramp and the 1.5" ramp designed to be exactly the advertised height? Why did I have to modify them in order to get those inches? I have to say that they are poorly designed with a hinge that must be essentially eliminated with sheet metal screws.The attached photo shows the sheet metal screws I had to install THROUGH the hinge in order to achieve the advertised height.

Used them for wheelchair ramp for my dad. They were easy to install and are very strong.

My wife uses a walker. This ram makes it so easy to get in and out of the house. Great construction and easy to install.
