Best ASP-C budget lens.
Amazing lens, great seller. Sharpness is fantastic, and for the money you really can't beat it.

Great mId-range zoom lens for Canon's APS-C cameras
Canon doesn't make an APS-C mid-range zoom to the very common and poplular full-frame version a 24-70mm f/2.8. This lens from Sigma fills the very much needed gap. It's very sharp and focuses quickly. Canon's 18-150mm f/4.5-6.3 covers the range, but it's a very slow (read dark!) lens. Buy the Sigma lens instead - or in addition to the 18-150 if you need the range in daylight.

Better than Canon but there are some drawbacks
I bought this lens for my Canon R7. It fits perfectly and connects with a reassuring click. Although it is a third party lens, all of the Canon features and functions work with it. The image is bright, sharp, and clear and having f/2.8 throughout the range is a big advantage over the available Canon lenses. The extra bokeh helps to separate the subject from the background. Also, it can shoot macro to about 1:2.However, I find 50mm a little limited and I would prefer a longer maximum focal length. Also, there is no stabilization, so the lens does not work in low light as well as the Canon lenses. Finally, the auto focus is not as reliable as with Canon lenses. I find that I am missing more shots with this lens so I have to check my focus after every shot.

For my R7, This is the best Lens I have used.
Pros -~ Best f2.8 lens for the price. Nothing even comes close~ The zoom range is literally perfect. I never hit the range of too close or too far away and want more. For an APS-C sensor found on the R100 through R7 cameras, this lens is a MUST.~ Size is reasonable. Its not short, and it does extend, but not by much at all. The lens hood adds a bit of length as one would expect, but not by a lot.~ Quality - Picture quality is excellent. I do a lot of editing and astrophotography, and there is not a single defect I can detect.Cons:I got the kit here, and most of it isnt needed. I dont think I would pay for any of it.

Awesome lens
This is a great lens from Sigma. Very well designed with a solid construction. It's made of plastic, but it doesn't feel cheap. With its f2.8 you can take high quality pictures. It has been tested on a Canon EOS R50.

It’s boringly great
What I mean is, there’s nothing new to see as far as the quality and value. I’ve never been disappointed with Sigma, and this is no exception.Images are sharp, the motor is quiet, and you get a fast lens without paying fast lens money. If you’re hesitant, don’t be. Sure, it’s not an L lens. But unless you’re shooting on a medium frame body, you’re not going to be missing anything.
