Juscycling Universal Bicycle Brake Housing Cable Kit for Bicycles -5 Color Options

I'm rebuilding an ancient Pugeot "racer" and these are perfect replacement parts. The color I selected even matches the paint. The kit comes with little "donuts" to hold the bare cable away from the frame, also little plastic end covers for the cable housings. The cables themselves have different moldings at each end so you can choose which fits your equipment and cut the other piece off. Also comes with crimp-on covers for the cable ends, but I instead, used silver solder to keep the cable end from fraying.

The kit comes with everything you need and seems of high quality. I'm mainly writing this review to warn everyone to CHECK THE LENGTHS BEFORE YOU INSTALL. I foolishly assumed they were the same length, installed the longer cable on my front brakes and clipped it, then discovered I could not install the rear cable because it's too short! They differ by 0.6m which is quite crucial to reach the rear calipers. I'm ordering a second set for a do-over, but make sure you compare the lengths before you do anything irreversible!

First off I want to say this product arrived on time and was in excellent condition, the only reason I’m not giving it a full five stars is because the cables that came with it started to unravel after I snipped the end of it to feed it through the tube. I just drove down to my LBS and picked up one for $3 bucks though so it wasn’t that much of a big deal. Next build I’ll buy it again but just for the housing.

I had ordered a bike from Amazon where one of the cables was damaged in shipping. Rather than exchange the otherwise perfectly fine bike and deal with pick up, I thought I would try this. It was much easier than I thought and the white matched perfectly. Great Product.

Worked perfectly to fix a kid-sized BMX bike’s brakes. Don’t forget to cut the plastic cover shorter than the cable.

These are a great value and are easy to work with. I like the plastic cable endings; they slip on easily but are snug. Tip: If you only need to install one or two, avoid the extra expense of a tool and just cut these with a hacksaw, and clean up with a file. Good enough.

I like the color and thinness of this jacket, but it was a little shorter than I needed. I could only do one brake and had to do other with ugly, fat jacket I got at Walmart.
