My son in law was extremely impressed when he used it for me. Much more secure than other methods. Well worth the money.

Great virtually flush fitting heavy duty wall hanging
I really like these fixings and have used various lengths to hang numerous large heavy mirrors, and also for lighter large pictures. Please note the maximum load for each bracket and make sure you choose the correct one for the item you are hanging and the type of wall. The mirror will be proud of the wall by approximately 1cm at the bracket (see photo) if you want a more uniform “floating effect” use self adhesive “furniture pads” behind the bottom of the mirror, or a few large blobs of Blu Trac 😱The only thing I dislike are the fittings provided, and unless you are fixing directly into brick, I would advise using something else.I tend to use Fischer duo fix plugs 8 x 40, with an 8mm drill bit, and 1.5” or 2” No 10 round head screws, for plastered, solid, and dot and dab walls. But for dot and dab you may require a longer wall plug and screw depending on how deep the space is between the board and the solid wall.Mirror in the photo has 3 fixing, 2” screws, into the the wall for the back plate.I also use “Corefix 100” for dot and dab walls when fixing into thermalise blocks, as the lightweight blocks can crumble/split and are pretty soft.Fitting to plasterboard walls is best if you are fortunate to find a convenient horizontal brace to fix the bracket to, or can get the centre fixing of the bracket into a vertical piece of timber.Depending on the load bearing capacity of the plasterboard I have also used these brackets to hang fairly heavy mirrors when I can’t get a fix into any timber stud work behind the plasterboard. On these occasions I use a toggle type fixing to spread the load behind each of the fixing points. I like the metal spring toggle-butterfly type fixings, but have also used the Fischer plastic versions for lighter items.I don’t recommend using steel wall anchors unless it’s a lighter weight mirror, and if this is the way you decide to go, use one anchor approximately for every 4”of the bracket fixed to the wall e.g. 4 anchors for am 18” bracket.

Such A Wonderful User Friendly Hanger.
Along with our central heating we have a " hole in the wall " gas log fire which is really expensive to run so we stopped using it .....however it looks very dark and " cold " when unlit and so we bought a plug in electric suite to place in front of it to cover it up and just have the flame effect lit to give out a lovely glow....I couldn't find a black one that was tall enough to cover the placement height of the gas fire so I had to buy a light oak one ..... recently I got around to painting it black .When we redecorated we didn't put the very heavy 35" x 28 " silver coloured framed mirror back up on the chimney breast as I felt it wouldn't look right with the black surround ( gas fire has a silver trim ).....also we rather stupidly forgot to mark where the original plugged holes were on the chimney breast before wallpapering..duh !So the rather heavy silver colour framed mirror has lived under our bed for a wee while now and it had kind of been " forgotten " about until I came across the wonderful simple invention of this fabulous hanger .I swiftly sent off for the hanger and while waiting for delivery I primed and painted the silver colour frame black. The hanger arrived ever so swiftly and hubby attached the back plate to the mirror , drilled and pluggec a few new holes for the wall plate and within a few minutes tge mirror was up and in place....job done !I really recommend this hanger...the whole concept is brilliant !I am delighted to once more have the mirror in place and I am chuffed that it and the fire surround are exactly how I envisaged the chimney breast wall to look.Super swift delivery....highly 're moment the hanger and the seller. We are " hooked " on this simple way of hanging pictures ,mirrors etc and will definately purchase more.

It’s small but packs a punch!
Got to be honest - I opened the pack and thought this is never going to hang our near 2 meter mirror. Our mirror weighs c20kg and all though that is comfortably below the maximum weight, just looking at two pieces of metal, smaller than a ruler, didn’t fill me with much confidence. There doesn’t appear to be enough screws in the pack but what there is, is plenty. The wall plugs were tiny and so I did decide to use my own larger ones. The backing plate screwed in nicely to the mirror and the wall plate was easy enough to fix to the wall too. The spirit level is handy and ensured a level fit.It was almost to easy. Which made me doubt I had done this correctly. But five hours later, it’s still up and I couldn’t recommend this product enough. Well worth the money and meant I didn’t have to mess around measuring holes and making sure it was level. I’m a very basic DIYer, who doesn’t enjoy drilling into walls for fear of getting something wrong! This made my life much easier today. So much so, I wanted to write this review.

Sturdy, easy to hang a heavy mirror
Used two of these to mount a big heavy mirror. Easy to line up both after drawing l9ng flat line on the wall, then using the supplied mini levels when mounting the plates themselves.
