White Plastic Coated Wireware Cutlery Draining Basket
B**E
Poorly designed - though a nice bright white rarer to find than black.
I searched for quite a long time to actually find a white coated wire ( not plastic) cutlery drainer to go with my new white drainer so I was looking forward to getting it. The price was moderate but postage a bit steep but thats was not the problem - The problem with this is.....and why don't I ever take notice of the poorer reviews.... this is not fit for purpose. It Tilts on the edge of my drainer. Ok so that can be resolved by placing it inside the drainer BUT the biggest flaw is in the DESIGN. The horizontal wires around around it leave gaping spaces at the bottom of the tray where ALL my tea spoon heads, handles, and even handles of other cutlery slip through leaving the cutlery stuck between the wires which is extremely annoying. One more horizontal wiring band nearer to the bottom of the base on the side would have resolved this problem. Also the gaps are far too large between the wiring on the bottom of the basket. It's really not a basket at all! If it costs as much to send it back postage wise, I may end up selling it.I almost wondered whether this is designed to go in bathrooms to hold flannels and the like as it really 'cannot' or shouldn't be classified as a cutlery basket! " Delfinware British Domestic Wireware White".I don't believe it is designed for cutlery at all even though it says cutlery box under the barcode. What a disappointment!

Poor design
Have just had one delivered from Amazon, and using it for the first time with it attached to my dish drainer, the biggest immediate drawback is that cutlery easily drops through the lower gaps and get trapped under the drainer. Other reviewers have made this point. An extra 'wrap around' and closer together would eliminate this.My other gripe is that most kitchen sinks slope, and as a result, the unit will not clip in an upright position. Do people who design items like this ever really put them to the test and iron out snags before letting them loose on the public. It could have been my ideal unit, but lacks thought in design. If I can find another suitable unit soon, this will be winging its way back to Amazon.

It's OK but wouldn't rave about it!!
Item arrived very quickly. It's ok but I wouldn't rave about it. Early days but cutlery can slip through the gaps if not placed into the drainer with some care. Fortunately this does hook onto my dish drainer but may not for all types of drainer. It might have benefited from more of a solid floor than open gaps. A little pricey for what it is.

Nice and sturdy
Good. Although the hooks seem a bit surplus, as they do not fit onto anything

Really nice
Strong and easy to clean, goes perfectly with my dish drainer. Only thing to suggest for the manufacturer is regarding the hooking system, its too high for if you'd like to place it on the interior of the drainer rather than the exterior and holes on the bottom could be smaller as cutlery goes through.

Good but expensive
I bought this to go with the drainer. It's good quality and I haven't had any problems with cutlery sliding through the gaps. It's sturdy and deep enough to even have cooking utensils in such as wooden spoons. It doesn't quite clip on the side of the drainer though as the clip isn't big enough so it does rest on the draining board a bit. But overall I think it's very good. My main problem is the price, very expensive I thought particularly with the postage added. I was a bit put out that I had to pay postage for both the dish and cutlery drainer seeing as they arrived in the same box, £9.00 is bit excessive for what was a pretty lightweight box. But hey ho, it looks good in my new kitchen!

Cutlery Basket White coated wire
This matches my other purchase the dish drainer and hooks onto the edge of it . Holds most of my cutlery except teaspoons which tend to slip through the mesh, but I am quite pleased with as the two items together fit well on the sink drainer.
