Good product but check for faults
The butt arrived with a clear manufacturing fault on the bottom seam (hence the 4 star for sturdiness). The supplier's customer service reacted immediately on being advised and despatched a replacement, which is good and strong and works well.

Great Butts of Our Time!
This is an excellent product! The lid is easy to remove but secure enough to stay on when the wind gets up. The stand is one piece (some have to be assembled) and is quite stable. The inlet/outlet holes are pre-drilled, and it also comes with a downpipe diverter kit that is easy to set up. The tap and inlet seals etc all work well and don't leak, although I did take the precaution of wrapping a little PTFE tape round the tap thread (clockwise) before installing the tap. Don't be frightened to go for a Big Butt, our 200 ltr butt fills up completely in two days of heavy showers with the water feeding in from just one side of a garage roof; in a dry spell you will use 200 litres in 3 or 4 days easily if you have a lot of patio pots. One small quibble: if you can't site the butt immediately next to the downpipe you will need a longer piece of connecting hose than that which is supplied with the diverter kit. However, a longer piece is easily obtainable from a garden or aquatic centre as they usually stock a range of hose for garden ponds. Take the small piece supplied in the kit with you to make sure you get the right diameter.

good investment for sure
very happy with this item especially since it is as good a quality as the more expensive ones we unfortunately purchased(2) last year from a different brand than this one.

Great practical product that will save you money
With water bills constantly going up, and after last year's hosepipe ban, I thought I'd fit a water butt to store up enough water for next summer. This product had everything I needed - the stand, tap, diverter kit with hose and connectors. I had read some reviews about other butts where several people said the plastic was very thin; I can say that is certainly not the case for this one! The but came with pre-drilled holes, and the diverter kit instructions were clear and understandable. I followed them precisely, and everything was attached to my downpipe quite quickly; the only tools needed were a hacksaw and a screwdriver to undo the clips that secured the downpipe to the wall. Lo and behold a bit later that day the rain came, it wasn't even a heavy shower but in a few hours the butt was already a quarter full!Of course the placement of the butt on a level surface as the instructions state, and the precise angle of the hose from the diverter to the butt is absolutely key, but if you get it right as I did, you'll have plenty of free water for your garden! Now I plan to get the guttering cleaned, and fit a gutter guard at the top of the downpipe to stop any leaves blocking the path of the water. Also considering getting another one to fit to the other downpipe on the other side of the house!

very impressed
This water butt, is very large so therefore very impressive, it will be great in the summer months. Arrived promptly and well packaged but not with loads of packaging to dispose of as some items do. The only niggle i have yet to sort out, is the tap is dripping. I thought i had tightened it sufficently when setting it up but now there is water in the butt, it dripps. So will have to try and tighten it up even more when i have emptied some of the water out. But overall very very pleased.
