Soapwort 800 Seeds Tumbling Ted + Freebie + Plant tag Saponaria Trailing, Pink

I bought a few packets of these and I must admit I struggled a bit to get these going. Failed to begin with the first packet but that was because I was sowing them directly in the place in full sun. The plant is ideal for this condition but it was too much to get it started there. I want them to grow in a huge 160 ltr container around a young buddlia in the middle of it, the tumbling Ted to soften the edges of the container and spill over the sides. I then planted the rest of the seeds in trays and also biodegradable plug pots and raised them in a sheltered potting shed, watering and placing in sun when we got any. Now transplanted into the container and watered them as required and now they are racing away. The way they are responding and growing rampantly, they are thickening up into one continuous ring and in a month or so they should be well established over the summer ready to go bonkers next year.The seedlings only really got growing the beginning of this month so time of year must be a factor as well as conditions.So be a little patient with them, apply common sense and you should be okay with them. I may or may not get them flowering this year but looking ahead to 2025 it should be impressive.The advert photos you see are obviously for two year old + plants so be realistic.I'll let them establish further for another couple of weeks then I'll take pix and post them here.

Seeded in three different pots in different areas of my garden..... not one seed germinated, waste of money.

Haven't grown.

I'm very disappointed. There has been n sign of germnation despite great care and attention. Will update if this changes.
