One of the top OCR shoes.
Absolutely crushed my OCR with these. Fit as described. 14 extra wide. Speed lace snuggly kept shoes on my feet when in deep fine mud that was claiming other shoes over and over. I’m a heel striker and this was perfect for my muddy trail 10k. Best of all was the grip. No slippage on muddy metal surfaces designed to cause slippage and at the end of the day I soaked them in oxy clean overnight and hit them with a stiff brush and they looked nearly new again. Love them.

Footwear end game
The media could not be loaded. First thing is First, the vendor that I purchased these shoes from went above and beyond with customer service, and fast shipping. As a smaller vendor I am impressed with there professional salesmanship and I will be purchasing from them again! 5 stars to the seller!I have been wearing this one and only shoe brand for over 7 years. From the quality of workmanship, material, and orthotic insoles, there is no reason to purchase anything else. The aggressive sole of the shoe makes this shoe the one and only shoe you need to support activities ranging from rocky trail terrain, to everyday urban walking. The waterproof outer shoe material blocks moisture from getting to your feet, as well as stretching to the contor of your foot to prevent blood flow restriction. No shoe laces to tie or replace, just simply identify the lace retention piece into place and store the extra in the small pouch out of site for a neat clean look. Nothing to flop around or get caught on.The Gore-Tex in the shoe prevents shoe breakdown under the most aggressive workouts, as well as prevents pain from soft soles if performing on rocky material.

Slick surface running shoe
Salomon running shoes are great quality and these are right up there. I run on a trail everyday. I use Salomon Sense ride 5s almost everyday. These are a better run shoe for slick or muddy running surfaces. Had a thick sole and high tread. They will work well on snow too. The pill string leaves are nice cause you don't have to worry about your laces coming undone while running. They have a slight heel to them which help with support. They fit as expected, I usually run 10+ miles so they're pretty sweat logged when I'm done. They dry out well on the shoe dryer. So far I 270 miles on them and they're holding up great. My sense ride 5s have over 1200 miles on them and are holding up great which speaks for the quality of their shoes. I wouldn't buy these for everyday run use unless you're running on a muddy surface every time you go out. Overall great value for the price.

Comfy ultra trail running shoe, great for the mud and wet conditions. Laces loosens frequently.
I did a couple of ultra trail running with these shoes.Advantages: Roomy toe box, nonslipery in wet muddy conditions. Good Cushing in most terrains. If it is dry over big flat rock surfaces you will end up feeling the 5mm logs and knees. They dry fast. Not one blister.Disadvantages: Overall the Salomon lace system loosens up frequently and favors the small rocks entry, it takes time to adjust them properly on a race.If it wasn't for the lacing system I would give 5 stars.

Salomon for life
This is my second pair of Salomon Speed Cross trail runners. I use them for hiking and not running . First I had the 4 and bought the 6 bc of the wider toe box to protect my toes on the downhill part of the hikes. I’ll seriously never use another hiking shoe bc I love these so much. The tread is awesome, the sole is comfortable even up to 8 miles, and me feet are sissies. I mean. If my feet are happy, it’s a really good shoe! But let me tell you a few things that make the shoe even better.1-get some hiking socks as well. They feel a bit sloppy wearing a regular old Nike sock if the trail is really steep.2-I got shorter laces bc after tightening the ones they come with, they’re a mile long. They’re also so thin it’s hard to get your fingers under to loosen them, etc3-this also makes it so you don’t have to use the lace garage on the shoe. When you’re wearing a size 6 1/2, the laces cross over the garage. So there’s no stuffing the laces in. Maybe that works better if you’re wearing a size 9 shoe. Also, some reviewers have said they fit small. They fit me exactly like they should. I wear a 6.5 in everything, and these as well. And they fit exactly the same way as the 4 did. Other than the wider toe box which is a great addition.
