After a recent visit to my doctor, it was noted that my blood pressure was a bit high. It was the first time I’d ever had a higher than normal reading, so it was quite a shock. My doctor then said that I needed to have my blood pressure monitored for two weeks. This would have meant daily visits to my doctors surgery which isn’t that near to me. So I decided to buy one instead.Looking on Amazon, there are loads of options but I chose this one at a good price and it had a decent amount of reviews. It arrived the following day through Amazon Prime. It’s easy to set up - you just have to push the hose into the unit and you are ready to go once you have installed the included batteries.A press of the button and it starts reading. Now I read on some reviews that it doesn’t pump up too much.... it has to so that it can read your bp. Within about 30 seconds you have your reading as well as pulse rate. A good addition is that there is an indicator on the side to inform you your grading for high (note: not low) blood pressure.When I went back to my doctors, I took the machine with me and asked to compare to the machine my doctor had and found that this was very accurate. So I would recommend this to anyone looking for a decently priced home blood pressure monitor.

This item arrived very quickly and I am really pleased with it. Please note the cuff size is not large. However, as a 5'4'' -small to medium frame lady, it is the right size for me. Most BP machines on Amazon provide a large cuff, which will generate an inaccurate reading for me. Unsure how long the batteries will last- only time will tell.
