Pastels easy to use
Like that these are pastels in a pencil. So easy to use. I use these on fabric and they look great.

Impossible to sharpen!
I am always looking for pencils to use for skin tones so decided to give these a try. The color tones aren't bad, but they are impossible to sharpen. I use good quality hand sharpeners and was unable to get a suitable point with any of them; the point kept breaking off. One pencil had the word barrel split down the side.Sorry, they are being returned.

Penart pastels
I was a little hesitant about these from some of the comments. But I am very pleased so far.I have been working with the browns mostly and they were harder than pan pastels but softer than compressed soft pastels.I like the wood case as a pencil. It helps to keep my fingers clean and hence my work clean too.

Disappointed
The color is very "faded" in my opinion they break very easily when sharpen, even if sharpen midway. Had a hard time sharpening (main problem) not worth spending time and money on.

Amazing until it's time to sharpen them
I absolutely love these except every time I go to sharpen them, the lead breaks off. One pencil lasted me 3 days. What's the secret?

These do not sharpen even with a utility knife to a point. Unable to use for any detail work at all.
