Accusharp 705C Turboslide Sport and Utility Knife, Blue

Useful however it's very hard to take out of the holder and it's pretty heavy. Nice to have around but not easy to have as a portable knife.

Let me preface this review by saying that Accusharp is a company in Texas, and imprints their sharpener( their signature product) with the "Made in USA" symbol. But my belief is that several companies, like Olympia Tool and Accusharp, have the knife I am reviewing here made for them in mainland China, and then packaged differently depending on the company. I've compared the photos of the knife I'm reviewing here (product and packaging) to what I have, and I cannot see any significant difference. The similarities are startling. That is not to say that the product is not excellent. The only real difference I notice between this Accusharp knife and the one I have is the Accusharp does not have a serrated locking blade- it just has a plain blade. That's it.I have purchased three of these knives, marketed as "Turboknife Dual Blade X", made in mainland China, and they are beautifully designed and manufactured to perform as a utility knife and a locking, serrated blade knife. Mine came without a carrying case( not something I really need anyway), and with spare utility knife blades(5). The mechanism for replacing the utility knife blade requires no additional tools, and is quite ingenious and sturdy. The main lock blade knife is also very sturdy and sharp. All the parts are stainless steel( knife blades, structure) or aluminum ( handle). I use one, and have given the other two as gifts to my son and my daughter. I would highly recommend this product for the home craftsman. I got mine locally for half of the Amazon price for the Accusharp.
