Hunters Specialties 100014 Undertaker Turkey Vest

I really like this vest, but it has some flaws. The seat is far from comfortable at first for more than two hour long sits. Also I do a lot of walking with my hunting and the strikers can pop loose and fall out unknowingly from your gun sling rubbing on the vest. It's quiet with adequate storage for your gear. I also like the back pad technology as an innovation. If it wasn't so easy to loose strikers and the seat was comfortable for long sits I would give this vest a five. They definitely got some things right with the design.Update: Initially I was using what looked to be striker loops in the side pockets that also look as they double for water bottles. If moved to the main pocket loops (which could also be used for shotgun shells I supposed) the issue with strikers falling out no longer seems to be an issue. One issue I got lucky with is not loosing a pot call from the snaps coming undone on the movable pocket for it. The ability to customize is great, but unless you want to chance the snaps coming off and loosing your box call or pot call I recommend synching those movable pockets down with paracord once you get them where you want.

I'll preface this by saying I'm a first-time turkey hunter. However, I did my research when gearing up and settled on this HS vest. I can't speak for durability, yet, so I'll update when I can, but so far the vest is great. It's got plenty of pockets and storage for everything. The magnetic closures are extremely quiet and have held well so far, and the back pocket is quiet as well. I can throw my keys in there and they don't jingle jangle, or move around. One thing I really like about the product is everything is very accessible. It's not hard to reach behind and access that backpack, or reach down and clip/unclip the seat cushion. The other thing I really like is the bottle holders on the side are right there. With my trail backpack, if I want the pack tight across the chest, I have to take it off to get to my water. Not with this thing. Its really easy and comfortable to stop and get whatever gear I need out, and put it back without making any noise or wasting any time.The vest in general is very, very comfortable. No hindrance when walking through heavy underbrush, form fitting, breathable, and the seat cushion allows me to sit down for long periods of time with the same feeling of binge watching Netflix for hours. Like I said, I'll update when I can to speak on durability, but everything else is great so far. Money well spent

i'm pretty new to hunting, and was really just looking for something to use as a seat when i'm hunting so the pockets were kind of a bonus. i took off the attachable pouch pockets because they're a bit loose and with there being two large pockets and two pouches built in to the vest itself i didnt need them.the camo is good and the quality is decent enough. my only gripe is that the seat is just a cushion. i was hoping the straps would attach to the vest to make it more of a seat that will hold your weight and center of gravity to keep you upright, but the clips don't match up to allow that. you basically just have a cushion for your butt that's conveniently attached to your vest so you don't have to carry it around.i'd buy it again because it was cheap and suits my needs, but if it was really important that you have a seat like you'd normally think of with a turkey hunting vest then you should keep looking.

For the price of this vest you would think it would have some quality to it...nope. the pouches are held on by snaps through the pals/Miller webbing. They are not held on by true molle. They flop all over the place and look frumpy. Secondly the fasteners for the pouches are magnetic too. Which do not hold your gear right. This causing me to lose a crow call I've had for over 20 years. Don't waste your money. Looks are deceiving.

This will be my first turkey vest so I can only compare to friends vests I have seen. I'll say for the price I feel this is a great value. It has alot of storage with many separate pockets to help with oranization. I really like the fact that 3 pouches are able to be relocated where you want them for ease of access, or you could remove them altogether to streamline the vest. One thing I really like compared to others I have seen is that it is not bulky or heavy. It is padded well and comfortable to wear. I also personally like that all the pockets have magnetic closures as it is silent. Inside the pockets are elastic loops that will help to secure your items. I was nervous from the picture that the seat cushion would be very thin but it is quite thick and dense and should be very comfortable. All in all I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend it to a friend.

Since turkey season has not yet started, I don't have a good field review. I did take the seat off and used it once during dove season. So far so good. Pro: lots of pockets that use magnets so they are quiet. Con: the straps use a sort of foam rubber. If it's hot, there is no ventilation, so it is easy to sweat through a tshirt. I will try to update my review after I have been in the turkey woods

Ordered a larger size than I thought I would need but still did not wrap completely around me.straps for long enough but the actual vest pockets were more off to the sides of your body than in front of you for easy access

Like: Many practical pockets that adapt well for deer hunting tools. Everything has its own pocket pretty much so I am not fumbling around looking for things.Dislikes: Extra pockets are nice but need to zip tied to the vest. Not easily hung in a tree but then it is intended for using on the ground. The company could easily adapt this for tree stand hunting and have new line item. So can you.
