Milfresh Gold Granulated Skimmed Milk Powder (10 x 500g) by Milfresh

This is the 2nd buy for me, love it, I use it to save on my Fresh milk, I use it in scrambled eggs, I use it in custard, I use it in Rice pudding also in porridge, always found this milk tasty, always there for a stand by if I run out of milk or if the weather gets bad were you are not able to get out or if you are too poorly to go out, I order it and it is here in a few days.

Tasty substitute for fresh milk. One packet will make 10 litres: I make up a half-litre (almost a pint) with 50g of powder put into a measuring jug, then topped up with cold water up to the 500ml mark. It dissolves easily with no lumpy bits. Then into the fridge just like fresh milk.Pancakes came out lovely and fluffy, and made heavenly coffee in the Nespresso. I also used it (in powdered form) in my bread machine.Was pleasantly surprised by the nice taste, Millfresh Gold contains only dried skimmed milk with no additives. Each bag has a zip-lock seal to keep it fresh and dry. My purchase had a use by date of one year.I'm very pleased with this product and would purchase again. Great to have these and for emergencies and if you can't get to the shops and had weather etc. Really great value considering how much milk it makes, but now it is cheaper! Very slight negative and personal taste, there is a very slight metallic taste, unless its me being fussy! But generally lovely tasting milk that we will want to purchase again. However very poor instructions, we worked out rather laboriously, that you need 4 heaped tablespoons (heaped meaning the same amount above the level as below the level!) to 500ml of water - then we pour the milk mixture into a 500ml glass bottle with screw cap and put it into the fridge. We just give it a quick shame just before using it every time. Yummy.

A very good product, whether you just put some direct into you tea or make up a given quantity to make batters/sauces/puddings etc, a really good larder standby product. Fussy husband did not notice I substituted this for fresh milk in his tea. Handy for campers/caravaners. Not cheap, but good.

Before I opted for this multi pack, I had already purchased a smaller single pack from another seller at £2.99 a pack. I love powdered milk in my tea and coffees, so when I found the original was cheaper than the supermarkets and tasted great, I was over the moon. Sadly the other seller sold out very quickly after my review ( I was the first), so I wanted to buy more. Extremely pleased that this seller offers more bags at £27.50, which works out at £2.75 a bag for 500g. This is the same as a main retailer in price with a extra 200g. Well worth the money and will buy again. Sadly though since writing this review and after ordering covid-19 has taken grip, so purchasing might become harder.
