Return of the non-word comic and the original GI Joe
This was another great addition to IDW's line of republished classic GI Joe comics. The ink, colours and continuing story get a breath of fresh air, all tied up in a handy 10 comic collection. Highlights from this volume include: issue 84, where we learn more of the background concerning Zartan's role in the Hard Master's death, issue 86 which celebrates 25 years of GI Joe and features the original GI Joe and GI Jane as characters. The biggest highlight is issue 85, where Storm Shadow comes under attack from a barrage of Cobras, yet the entire comic features no dialogue. This was only the second time in the whole comic series (up to the original publishing date of issue 85) where no dialogue had been written to carry the story. It's fantastic and exciting reading, as are the other nine comics included in this volume.

This is issue 9 of the first original series. I'm glad that IDW put the time into redoing these classics so everyone new and old to the comics can read them.

What more can you say?
The continuing stories of the G.I.Joe's and their Cobra enemies just keeps getting better and better. Hama does great work bringing each character to life in a fun and exciting story.

I really enjoy the original Joe comics and Larry Hama brings a military look and feel while also bending, but not breaking reality.

finally
all the old joe comics collected in these issue. my only complaint is that they didnt keep the classic printed look with all the dots.

Classic comic in convenient format
The classic volumes of the G.I. Joe comics were a god send when they were released despite some quirks with previous volumes. This particular volume is done well and especially looks great on the kindle app on the iPad.You can't go wrong with either version but I definitely prefer carrying around the kindle versions.
