Update: Now that I have had an opportunity to use the reels I have to say that I am very happy with the way the reels perform. They cast as good if not better than the more expensive reels. I am very happy with my purchase and will definitely buy more of these.Reels out of the box appear to be a good value. I am replacing some more expensive reels and there is some difference. These reels are relatively smooth feeling but not quite as smooth as the more expensive ones. I just got them and put them on rods so I haven't even cast them yet but out of the box I would say they are well worth the money.

Don’t let the price or where they are made fool you. These are smooth, great drag. I had less backlash than I do with some of my very expensive reels.

This reel seems very smooth so far, I haven't got a chance to try it at the lake yet but just a few casts around the yard seems like it will be a very enjoyable reel. Packaging was great and it comes with a tool for disassembling. Can't wait to try it out this week.

First time using a baitcaster/conventional reel. Was worried about the dreaded bird nest, but even me not ever using this type of reel has had no issues. Easy to adjust. Casts smooth. Liked it so much I bought another one just in solid black

Used it the second day after receiving it and love it. Smooth casting experiencing with using 3oz and 4oz weight and spooled with 30lbs Andy monofilament line. Ordered another one to the collect of the other 10 other catfish reels I have. This will be my second one and I’m sure if the experience I had with the one I have now, I’ll definitely will be getting more. Great reel.
