We bought these for our autistic son, he is 8. They are a bit small, so he may outgrown them soon. They are a light plastic, not as dense as readers, but after a week, they are holding up well. Our son for fall asleep easier when he has been wearing these. The plan is to pass them on to his little brother and get him a larger pair. They do work well to block out the blue light.
