I have concrete flooring in our home, and I choose to use futons because I find it relieves alot of back pain. And using a rug under the futons was not cutting. Decided to splurge and order these, the quality is very nice and comfortable by it self and has helped immensely under the futons. I've read many complaints about the smell, but frankly I find it comforting as it reminds me of when we were kids and would take the back roads with our Nana just to smell the alfalfa. Over all will return for an update after some usage.

I bought the Tatami mat as a ventilator, and dust protector, for the Japanese futon that I've been sleeping on since the 16th of last month. Living in a small NYC apartment, space is limited, so when it comes to storage, I appreciate how easily foldable the tatami mat can be.It is also made out of rush grass, so take special care in making sure that you are either barefoot or wearing socks while on the mat, which includes some light sweeping, that will help prolong its overall lifespan.

Upon opening the box with the mat in it, it did not smell like chemicals at all. It smelled like hay and a bit earthy. Which is fantastic, it’s very well made imo! Had to return due to sizing issue. Emoor went above and beyond to help me out!

Yes, after air drying outside for several days the mattress will be perfect for use.

I use this as a buffer between my floor and my mattress to air my mattress and to easily slide my mattress in and out from under the bed frame (my spouse and the dog get the bed, I sleep on the floor. No hard feelings cz they're both awful to share the bed with lol). It's thin, so it's not a true tatami and therefore I believe it's overpriced, but it serves its purpose.

Purchased to go beneath a futon / shikibuton. Does the job, folds well, and has a nice herbal scent, reminiscent of green tea.

Livraison assez rapide. Pas de frais de douane pour ma part. La qualité semble au rendez-vous. Dans les premiers temps il y a une odeur persistante d’herbe mais elle passe après environ 3 semaines. C’est signe de bon produit.

Ich muss mich leider den Rezensenten anschließen, denen der Geruch unangenehm (nach Kuhstall) in der Nase liegt. Die bei einem anderen Online-Shop erworbenen, extra für mich gefertigten Matten, dufteten wunderbar nach Heu und waren zudem günstiger. Ich bezweifle sogar, dass es sich wirklich um Igusa-Gras handelt. Geht zurück. Leider keine Kaufempfehlung.
