The Ice Princess [DVD]

Nice skating rendition of the classic "Cinderella" tale, with a different spin on the story.

It was okay. We love ice skating, so it was fun to see some.....but the movie was shorter than most and the characters weren't the best at acting. Cute story, but a little pricey $19.99 for the movie, so we won't be keeping it. We will probably donate it to the local library.

I bought the Ice princess on Video and my children looked it over and over again. Now they wanted it on DVD but in Holland you can't buy it on DVD. So I bought it in the VS and my doughter was very happy to look again to the story.

The only thing keeping this from perfect was not having it sent signature required.

Used to work for the guy in the movie, Christopher Barker, Lex Barker's son.

I had purchased this item for my elderly mother. She loved it and used it often. As per my mother, it is great.

I was interested in seeing this movie, so I rented it from Netflix. Anyway, I really didn't care for it. Certain parts were alright, but I could've done without some too. If you want to see a good skating movie, rent Cutting Edge.

This movie is one of my favorites. It came out quite a few years ago and I first saw it on TV in 1998. I personally love the music of this movie and especially love that I can watch this movie in such a small amount of time. I have always been a fan of Katarina Witt and will always be impressed with her style of skating. This film is an original, it was produced in 1997, long before Disney's Ice Princess was probably even on the drawing board, so there is no rip off of titles or themes. There is an European influence on this movie and it shows. I hope that other's look at this movie for the artistry behind it and enjoy it!

Katerina is wonderful in this ice movie. I saw this as a teenager on Christmas TV donkeys years ago, I never thought I would see it on dvd. And strangely enough it has played on my region 2 dvd player which is a dolby digital Pacific, if that's any help to anyone in England who cannot find a multi player in you're local store. This film is beautiful and unpredictable, even though this tale has been told many times and you know the ending. Looking at the film now, it's a little silly in places but still very good, it's been danced and acted with passion and enthusiasm. Like Torvill and Dean, Katerina really puts her heart into her skating. My children love it too. If you are after this film go to elite digital, your best source for hard to find items. Mrs Skinner
