I bought this hoping to learn something new earlier this year, and this fit the bill.It comes with a lot of stuff! Obviously the instrument itself, which is made of pretty thick wood and a cute inlay, a carrying case, which feels like it was meant for an expensive pair of headphones and fits this Kalimba perfectly, a tuning hammer which is easy to use, and even 2 sets of note stickers for the keys! One is just red and green decals and the other is your note numbers and letters! All you have to do to play it is pluck down with your fingernail, and it makes a note! If you're looking to learn a new instrument, this kalimba is the one to get!My only gripe is that I didn't buy two so my daughter can stop stealing mine!

I had seen Kalimbas on tv, but never "In the flesh" and my expectations were not so high.However, I was delighted to find that this is very well made and finished, to a standard befitting a professional instrument. The quality of the woodwork is faultless, the finish smooth and lustrous. The tone is much better than I expected, rich and full sounding. You can not have missed the "Mouth" pattern beneath the front soundhole, I was expecting that to be merely painted on, but no, it is inlaid!The accompanying material is also of a high standard, the tuning hammer, cleaning cloth, hard case and manual.For most people, I expect the Kalimba is a new instrument and the manual gives a very good grounding on playing, care and adjusting tuning.Despite resembling a teddy bear, this is not a toy. For a young teen or older it would be a great gift, but probably not for anyone younger. It is a fully-fledged musical instrument and deserves to be treated as such.In short, I consider this to be an exceptional entry into the world of the Kalimba!

The media could not be loaded.  I’ve wanted a Kalimba for years and was lucky enough to get this one on Amazon Warehouse deal. I’m very particular when it comes to quality and I research on Google and YouTube reviews for many hours to find the right product and maker. Aklot were mentioned favourably and I see why, now that I have one of their fine instruments in my hands. It’s of the very highest standard of build quality and comparable with my Taylor acoustic guitar. Very comfortable to hold, easy and fun to play, and a breeze to tune up. Very cute bear shape too! 🐻 Made me smile when I opened the case - definitely a wow moment! 🥰 Videos and photos don’t do it justice but I do hope you’ll see and hear what a beauty this is, both aesthetically & tonally.Added bonus: the case doubles as a comfy cat headrest too 😻 Polly and Honey approve! and they find the music of the Aklot Bear Kalimba very relaxing. Plays a nice tone but you do have to have good strong thumb nails to play this instrument I unfortunately do not have the necessary nails to play one to get a nice tone the rings out a note and there fore sounded dull. I returned it and received full refundPSThat was my experience of this instrument you may have or be happy with. yours, there solidly builtand well made , my advice if you are to buy one is buy that’s not going to break the bank then if you get along with it you can always buy a more expensive at a later date

Not owned a Kalimba before but this is a wonderful little instrument for both children and adults.Great fun to learn and does not take up a lot of room.It is beautifully made with a superb finish. Very tactile. The stainless steel tines are smooth, no sharp edges.Being solid wood humidity has to be considered. This has been done with the inclusion of a very nicely designed carrying case.The tines are well marked with letters and numbers. A tuning hammer, cleaning cloth and self adhesive coloured strips are also included in the price. There are hours of fun to be had with this instrument. And the price is amazing for something of this quality.At present there are not many Kalimba music books available. Perhaps this will change and there will be more variety of music books to buy soon, as I am sure there will be a lot more people playing the Kalimba in the future. Highly recommended.

2nd time lucky! I tried ordering the first time thinking that Amazon would be great at "fulfilling the order for the seller". I thought wrong...Although it arrived the next day, I was surprised to find a random set of items instead of my kalimba. Sending back was fairly easy as I was able to get to a post office and Amazon gave me a free return label (which I sincerely hope was NOT paid for by the seller as it was clearly the "fulfilled by Amazon" warehouse's fault). I tried again and this time got the lovely rainbow kalimba I was expecting. It sounds lovely, the highest tines are only slightly tinny and it was in tune when it arrived. I am looking forward to learning many songs on this gorgeous portable instrument.

Lovely sound from this instrument. Comes with a sturdy protective case, which I wasn't expecting.

Die Kalimba hat einen sehr schönen Klang und ist nach über einem Jahr (bis auf ein paar Verfärbungen) noch so gut wie neu!

Ho potuto provare questo strumento in viaggio e me ne sono innamorato, non riesco personalmente a suonare qualcosa di già esistente ma con un tempo giusto ho potuto fare melodie da carillon veramente belle, in se è resistente, in dotazione il martello da accordatura, che non mi è servito, un panno per pulire le astine, vari set di etichette da evidenziare numero e melodia delle astine e con una custodia decisamente rigida e ben protettiva, consiglio caldamente questo acquisto, poi ogni persona che lo ha visto ha adorato la forma da orso

A la lecture de différents commentaires, ce modèle semblait avoir une sonorité correcte sur les 17 touches, y compris sur les plus aiguës.Je n'ai pas de base de comparaison mais c'est tout à fait correct pour l usage que j'en fais.La finition est soignée, le son pas très puissant (corps plein) mais doux et cristallin à la fois. Parfait pour jouer dans un endroit calme le soir sans déranger les voisins. J'ai du accorder légèrement qq touches mais rien de choquant non plus.Livré avec une housse de protection bien pratique, des autocollants pour les touches (celles ci étant déjà gravées d origine), et un petit marteau pour accorder.J'aurai préféré un modèle en bois mais celui ci était disponible et convient finalement très bien en plus de plaire aux enfants.Je recommande!

Der Klang der Kalimba ist ganz schön. Sie kam vorgestimmt und mit einer Menge Zusatzartikeln. Der Pickup ist klanglich recht empfindlich und der Klang darüber nicht sonderlich toll. Die gesamte Verarbeitung von Kalimba, Case und Pickup ist aber wirklich super. Daher würde ich es sicher empfehlen. Eignet sich auch als Geschenk für Musiker

Naklejki, pudelko w zestawie, instrukcja, mloteczek do strojenia. Polecam, ale sprawdzcie czy nie macie martwych klawiszy, jesli tak, od razu odsylajcie!
