If you only have one Indian cookbook, this should be the one
We've tried many of the recipes, and all the ones so far are winners. We've also given away three copies of the book to friends who like curry. Cooking Indian can be quite demanding, with the bewildering variety of spices to be ground, added and quickly toasted, but the recipes in this book are not overly fussy, and we've developed our own workflow, measuring all the spices in advance, and lining them up in little ramekins (some with multiple seasonings, that are added at the same time) ready for insertion.

Creative Challange!
I love cooking especially different cultural cuisines. This is treasure to own with many levels of challenge from the new cook to a gourmet. Thanks for this delightful encouragement to flavorful meals ahead. Many pleasures await my family and friends for the recipes we haven't yet tried and joys for those which we have already indulged.

Recipes look upon close, and I mean close, examination but you need a magnifiying glass.
The list of ingredients was in very small, and very light ink colors. As a cook, I look at the ingredient first before the actual steps. Because of that I have not purused the book just for the pleasure of reading it because it is difficult to read. The recipes I have looked at seem fine but the book is so small I don't see myself being able to open it up on my counter and read from it as I am trying out a recipe. My bet is that the graphic designer for the book was not a cook. Sad because Madhur Jaffrey is one of my go to experts on Indian cooking and I was hoping that these simplified recipes would let me do more Indian curries with less prep time. Doesn't work if the book is difficult to read, ever with my reading glasses.

I was expecting a book of curries and was disappointed. As other reviewers have mentioned
Given the title, I was expecting 100 quick curry recipes... the book is very small and there were not many recipes for actual 'curries'. There are recipes for cooking rice, frying papadums, frying cashew nuts, pickling cucumbers, etc. I was expecting a book of curries and was disappointed. As other reviewers have mentioned, the font and book itself is rather small.

Another Superb Recipe Book from Madhur Jaffrey
I've used Madhur Jaffrey's books on and off for many years. But I particularly wanted a chicken korma recipe to prepare for my wife's birthday, and this book had what looked like a good one. In fact, for this meal, I used that recipe (slightly altered because of my wife's garlic intolerance), the stir-fried cauliflower recipe and I added a simple boiled basmati rice. I got some decent ingredients from my local Indian grocer and got started! The various stages of each recipe can be prepared in advance. So I measured out and pre-mixed some of the spices, so I wasn't held up rummaging through the spice drawer! And to make it easier to get each of the 3 dishes ready at the approriate time, it was simple to prepare a each dish to a certain point, in advance, then continue it when ready.Co-ordinating the timings is of each dish is always my challenge, so I wrote a timeline giving me 90 minutes to get it all ready, on a piece of paper. (That included soaking the rice and the cauliflower for the recommended time.) It was then just a matter of writing the key steps for each dish at the appropriate time on the timeline. Now I know this is overkill for more confident chefs but it gave me the confidence to tackle something that I might otherwise have shied away from.Don't be put off by what seems like a long list of ingredients in some recipes. Just make sure you've got your basic spices and some decent quality rice and more than half of it's done!I got the Kindle version of the book so it was very easy to stand my iPad up in the kitchen and follow things through to completion. It made a nice change from wrestling with a conventional book, trying to keep the right pages open. The birthday girl was delighted with the meal, as was I, so job done! Can't recommend this book strongly enough and I'm looking forward to trying another recipe on our next lockdown curry night.

Great recipe book
I have several recipe books by Madhur Jaffrey which I love, her recipes are great and I highly recommend them. This recipe book is no exception with a great variety of recipes which are not repeated from any other recipe books that I own by Madhur Jaffrey. My daughter also owns this particular recipe book and has found that she is able to use the recipes and adapt them from meat to veggie.

LOVE IT
An excellent A5 sized cookbook with a variety of Asian/Indian recipes. I love most of the recipes in this book and shall be attempting them more regularly to replace the expensive take-aways. Many of the recipes are relatively easy to make so a dish could be made in 30 minutes.

An eyeopener for me
Having spent many years trying to make a decent curry, this book has been a revelation. I've made 4 recipes from her and all of which didn't disappoint
