11-240-4-7 Car Radio Fascia 1-DIN in Dash Installation Kit Set for Mini Hatch (R50/R53) 2001-2006; Cabrio (R52) 2004-2007 + ISO and Antenna Adapter Cable

I bought this adapter set together with a Bosszi car stereo to fit in a 2005 BMW MINI (R50). Installation was a dream, everything just fitted perfectly. The only slight issue I had was when I came to fit the car stereo cage (that the head unit slots into and locks in place). Normally you'd expect to be able to bend the tabs of the cage to lock it in place, but this was not possible on the Mini. Having this Face plate allowed me to bend the cage tabs around the back of the face plate before screwing the face pate in place.I had no issues with the car stereo losing preset station when turning the ignition off, as I said, everything fitted and worked!

So, after checking the item description I bought this to swap out the head unit in my Cooper S. having stripped it out and pulled the plugs apart, it turns out the connectors are totally different. Buyer beware.

The wiring loom doesn't fit my car. My car has round pins, this adapter is for flat pins (see photo). Kinda my fault, I should have removed the car stereo first and checked! I suggest you do the same before buying.The fascia and antenna adapter do fit though however.

Only good part was facia plate had to get harness separtly
